Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Takeda Resource Groups (TRGs) bring together employees with shared backgrounds and life experiences, as well as supporting allies, to create an inclusive work environment. Collectively, they represent a diverse and global community. TRGs are organizationally aligned and committed to leading initiatives that positively impact patients, communities, employees and our workplace. There are 11 TRGs:
- Black Leadership Council
- Building Asian Leaders
- EnAbles (Employees with Disabilities and Allies)
- Faith@Work
- Gender Parity Network
- Impacto
- Mosaic
- PACT (Working Parents and Care Givers)
- Strive (Military Service-Connected Employees)
- Take Pride (LGBTQ+ Employees and Allies)
TRGs are open to all employees, not just those who identify with a particular community, and play a vital role in strengthening our company culture.
We continually broaden our efforts to ensure a fully inclusive culture to secure our workplace as an employer of choice, as a valued contributor within the communities in which we live and work, and as a leader in providing innovative solutions for patients.
Current programs that further these goals include:
- Strategic recruiting initiatives and partnerships
- Flexible employee policies and programs
- Industry wide mentoring and ambassador programs
- Global recognition programs
- Community outreach programs
- Supplier and vendor support programs
Takeda is committed to fostering workplace development and access to opportunities aligned with our value of fairness. We’re dedicated to being at the forefront of efforts to develop a talented global workforce that represents the communities we operate in and serve.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in R&D
At Takeda, we believe that in order to achieve health equity, everyone must have a fair and just opportunity to attain their full health potential, regardless of social position or other social determinants. We are working to achieve greater health equity for all patients by addressing health disparities and inequities that disproportionately impact underserved communities, including access to clinical trials. While the biopharmaceutical industry and our partners continue to make strides, there is a lot more work to be done to ensure clinical trials are diverse, inclusive, and better reflect the patients we serve.
We are committed to creating a more diverse, equitable and inclusive culture not only within our own walls and our communities but also across our clinical trials. True to our values—perseverance, integrity, honesty and fairness—for us, enhancing diversity in clinical trials is simply the right thing to do.
