We have a long history of supporting nonprofit organizations through corporate giving, employee volunteerism and employee giving. Our Growing Communities program enables us to engage our employees and make meaningful contributions to support the communities where we live and work in the U.S., aiming to build deep, impactful relationships with our community partners.

Engaging our Employees in Community Impact

Takeda employees contribute tens of thousands of volunteer hours each year, serving on boards, acting as mentors and participating in community-building activities. Our employee volunteer program offers opportunities for employees to give back to the causes they care about, through company-organized events or individually. Additionally, through the employee matching gift and community currency programs and disaster relief campaigns, we empower our employees to support nonprofit organizations across nearly every state in the U.S. through financial donations. If you have suggestions for volunteer opportunities or questions, please contact [email protected].

R&D Science Philanthropy

Takeda has built an agile global R&D organization driven by innovative science. This focus on unlocking innovation and harnessing cutting-edge science to deliver potentially transformative therapies to patients extends to our global R&D Science Philanthropy efforts. We seek to cultivate the next generation of STEM leaders by prioritizing programs that support education and career development among aspiring and experienced scientists.

As part of our R&D Science Philanthropy efforts, we engage Takeda colleagues in knowledge-based volunteerism to enhance partnerships. We support programs worldwide that promote persistence in STEM higher education, provide educational and professional growth opportunities, and accelerate career pathways for future STEM leaders.

We only engage in partnership activities that are aligned with our R&D Science Philanthropy goals. We do not accept unsolicited funding requests.
